This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Previously known to the community as Oscar Night, the theme of the event was changed in 2010 to better aid its cause. The event remains a black tie affair complete with dinner, raffle prizes, silent auction, and a dessert auction. The theme of our 2010 Gala was Reflections and allowed its guests the opportunity to reflect on the impact the Eugene Active 20-30 Club has had on the children in its community throughout the last 80 years and what we hope the future of those children will bring. In 2011 the event was officially renamed the Buzz Saw Ball .

Each year the Eugene Active 20-30 Club partners with Gray s Garden Centers, Rexius, and SaniPac to provide Christmas tree pick-up service to the residents of Eugene and Springfield. Rexius sponsors this event by donating disposal of the trees in their recycling program and SaniPac provides a dumpster for flocked trees which cannot be recycled. This fundraiser is held the first two weekends of January for a suggested donation of $7. Reservations for pick up can be made on this website by clicking the link on our home page and payment can be made by cash, check, money order, or credit card through PayPal services.

Every Christmas the Eugene Active 20-30 Club, in partnership with Valley River Center, hosts the Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is a Christmas tree where people can pick up ornaments that designate gift donations for thousands of underprivileged children in our community. Items requested include toys, clothing, sporting equipment, gift cards, and more. For most of them, these are the only gifts they ll receive during the holidays. In 2010, the Club received 2,446 gift requests and was pleasantly surprised to find over 2,500 gifts were brought in to help make the holidays extra special for those children!

This is a community wide event. Club members join forces to find coats for local kids in need. Coat donation bins are placed in local businesses in and around Eugene and Springfield in September. The coats are then taken to several local dry cleaners who donate their services to clean them! After the coats have been cleaned, Club members sort and distribute them to local organizations that help support the needs of underprivileged children. This year the club collected and distributed over 2,500 coats in our community! Thank you to those who made that possible!

This is one of our most rewarding hands-on events with the kids. 25 club members take 25 disadvantaged children on a $100 back to school shopping spree. At the event, club members help kids shop for their back to school necessities like clothing and supplies. This is a great confidence booster for the kids on that first day back at school! Target is not only our host for this event, but also one of the sponsors. Thank you, Target!

The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) and the Eugene Active 20-30 club join together year after year to raise money for local children s charities. We receive this opportunity by ushering the 5A Boys and Girls Basketball championship. Our Club has been involved extensively with the OSAA tournaments dating back to the 1950s. This project provides members the opportunity for fellowship with other club members while raising money to help underprivileged children in their community.

Civic Stadium was not only home to the Eugene Emeralds for many years, but also the Eugene Active 20-30 Club. Our concession stand at the old baseball stadium provided members the opportunity to grow their leadership and teamwork skills as well as raise a substantial amount of money to help support local children s charities.
Volunteers with the Eugene Active 20-30 Club partnered with the University of Oregon while Mac Court was home to Duck Basketball. Our members and other volunteers wore their famous red jackets and stood in the tunnels directing traffic before and during the home games. This project provide members the opportunity to fellowship before and after their shifts while providing the Club with a large source of income. We will always remember our time at Mac Court with fond memories and hope to continue our relationship with the University of Oregon at Matt Court in another capacity.
